Privacy

Spacevista is built so that we learn nothing about you. This page says exactly what that means.
The app
- Everything happens on your Mac. Spacevista scans your disk locally and shows the results on screen. Scan results live in memory and are never written anywhere else.
- No data collection. No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. There are no accounts.
- No network access. Spacevista runs inside the macOS App Sandbox without any network capability: it cannot send or receive data over the internet.
- You control disk access. The app can only read the drives and folders you grant through the macOS permission dialog, and you can revoke that access at any time.
- The widget reads free space only. The Disk Space widget reads how big each mounted drive is and how much of it is free. It never looks at your files.
- Deletions are yours. Items you remove go to the Trash unless you choose permanent deletion, which always asks first.
The App Store
Downloads and updates go through the Mac App Store, run by Apple. Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics such as download counts, which contain no personal data. Apple’s privacy policy covers the App Store.
This website
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking scripts. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
- One functional cookie, lang, remembers your language for up to a year. It identifies nobody.
- The site is served by Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
